Question on altitude of minifilter driver.

On windows 2008 R2 cluster setup I am trying to monitor IOs on specific files present in CSV volume.
For this I wrote a mini filter driver and registered it at an altitude above 404950.
At this altitude, mini filter could capture all the IOs on files present in CSV.
If mini filter driver is registered below 404900 altitude then we don?t receive any IOs.

So the questions that I have are,

  1. Is it correct to register the mini filter driver above 404900 altitude?
  2. Also can microsoft provide altitude specifically above CSVFilter?
  3. Is it ok to have 2 altitudes one for Windows 2k8 and other for Windows 2k12?
