HLK certification for one of UART device -regarding

Hi all,

One of my customer wants win 7 x64 bit WHCQ certification.

They are using windows 7 embedded standard x64 bit OS.

Whether i can install hlk client on windows 7 embedded x64 bit OS ?

Whether i need to install windows 7 x64 bit professional /HLK client and
need to get package /give it to microsoft for certified driver ?

Which is a windows 7 x64 bit standard OS need to get cerified package to be
pass to microsoft ?

Windows 7 x64 bit professional is sufficent to work on all windows 7 x64
bit OS.

whether no need to go for windows 7 x64 bit embedded standard OS ?

HLK to be sufficent to run on which windows 7 x64 bit OS is sufficient ?

Whether windows 7 standard embedded OS x64 bit is required or not or it is
supported to run HLK ?

COuld you please help on this.

I believe as long as you have file sharing available, the client will work.

The kernels are the same.  There is no separate certification for
Windows 7 Embedded, so there’s nothing to be gained.  If it were me, I
would probably use Windows 7 Professional just because I want as few
variables as possible in the testing scenario.

All you’re trying to prove is that you run in the Windows 7 kernel.
It’s the same kernel in all these systems.
