All,
I previously (in XP) used the STATUS_NOT_SAME_DEVICE error code to force a
rename operation to “turn into” a copy from a filter. For example, if you
returned this from the rename SET_FILE_INFORMATION call, explorer would copy
a file instead of doing a true move. However in Vista, this trick appears
to not work anymore, with explorer giving access denied in this case. Has
anyone else run into this problem and/or worked around it in Vista?
Thanks,
Matt
