Network Disruption Planned for Next Week

As you may have heard, OSR is moving its offices from the sleeping town of Amherst NH to the bustling metropolis of Manchester NH.

Just allow me to say that after 25 years in one location, moving is a collossal PITA. For example, a week or so again, we sent 300+ hard drives out to be shredded. And that was the EASY part of the move.

ANYhow… you don’t care. BUT, you MIGHT actually care because our networking will be significantly disrupted in TWO STAGES.

The first stage of network disruption will begin Monday 26 February. That entire week, you should expect access to OSRONLINE and LISTS (NTDEV, NTFSD, WINDBG) to come and go at random times.

I’ll post something mid-to-late next week, when things are “back to being stable” for this stage.

The next stage will occur in a few weeks, when we’ll have yet another temporary outage.

The good news is that after the outage, we’ll have yet MORE bandwidth to dedicate to LISTS.

Thanks for your patience while we hack and whack,

Peter

Just a quick update: We are continuing to make network changes.

Note, particularly, you will see the IP address for OSRONLINE and/or LISTS periodically change (as we test out different network topologies and hardware).

Thanks for your continued patience,
