Is it possible to bind 802.11 adapter directly to protocol stack without NativeWiFi?

Hi,

I am trying to establish link between 802.11 miniport driver to protocol stack without nativeWifi. I disabled native wifi using registry. I tried with NDIS sample filter driver, but I couldn’t see Wireless adapters in Ipconfig. I knew that I broke Wi-Fi subsystem. I am planning to use Passthru driver sample of WDK, but it supports NDIS 5.1 which doesn’t aware of Wlan. Can I see the wlan adapter in Ipconfig if I port Passthru from NDIS 5.1 to NDIS 6.0? Is it possible to link 802.11 adapter to protocol stack?

ANY HELP is WELCOME and really appreciated.

Thanks,
Varshith

Not supported at all, and maybe impossible.

Why do you need this?
