Docking Station Model and SN

Hi, I'm writing inventory tool, which should check if notebook is docked - in this part it seems to be OK as there are several documented ways how to detect it in WMI (ChassisTypes), RegDB (CurrentDockInfo) and CM (CM_Is_Dock_Station_Present) - and especially to get Type and Serial Number of docking station. In case of LENOVO notebooks the WMI Win32_SystemEnclosure / SerialNumber is empty and comparing snapshots of RegDB, WMI and filesystem of docked / undocked notebook did not reveal anything. So I'd like to ask if anybody has a bit more insider information, what and how is designed in Windows to support docking stations and their meta information. What driver is responsible for it and what IOCTL / IRP it supports. Well I searched for this very carefully... And somebody might have insider information about LENOVO support to docking stations in this respect. My notebook is T400, docking station is 2504. Any hint will be appreciated! --
