Re[2]: Driver Update

In addition to the other suggestions, understand that some drivers can’t
be installed/updated without a reboot … easily. Some layered file
system designs, kmdf drivers with a more recent coinstaller and some
disk/volume filters come to mind.

If you target Win8 and later with kmdf there is no need for a coinstaller, this no reboot related to changing the installed version of kmdf as it doesn’t happen anymore
