Announcing Filter Plugfest 25

Microsoft is pleased to announce that Filter Plugfest 25 has been scheduled. Here are some preliminary event details: When Monday, August 13 to Friday, August 17, 2012. The event begins at 9am and ends at 6pm each day, except for Friday when it ends at 3pm Where Building 37, rooms 1701-1717, Microsoft Campus, Redmond, Washington Cost Free ? There is no cost for this event. Lunch will be provided for the attendees on all days. Breakfast will NOT be provided Audience ISVs (Independent Software Vendor) and developers writing file systems filter drivers for Windows Goal Compatibility testing with Windows 8 and other file systems filter drivers Important! Due to constraints in space and resources at this Plugfest, ISVs are required to limit their participation to a maximum of two persons representing a product to be tested for interoperability issues. There will be no exceptions to this rule, so please plan for the event accordingly A link to the registration form will be available here (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/hh582249) shortly. Registration for Filter Plugfest 25 is now open. Please follow the link on this page (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh582249.aspx) to register for the event. Note that space is extremely limited at the Filter Plugfest 25. Hence, registration will close once the maximum capacity has been reached and without notice. **New to Filter Plugfest 25** Unlike previous Plugfest events where product groups were provided with two physical machines (a target, and a debugger), at Filter Plugfest 25 each product group will be provided withonly one physical machine. This machine will act as the debugger, while the target machine will exist as a Virtual Machine (VM). The target machine is where your filter driver is expected to be installed. It will also contain all necessary test tools. If you have any concerns about your filter driver working in a VM, please send an email to: xxxxx@microsoft.com

I had registered for the plugfest a few weeks back, but got no acknowledgement for the same. Is that normal? I don't know if Ope has responded to you personally yet so... yes, it's expected to not get a confirmation. At the bottom of the registration page is a note saying that you won't get an individual confirmation until registration closes.
