WinUsb with sleep fix for XP?

Hi All, What is the best way for me to provide WinUsb.sys version 2.1 (6.1.7600.16421?) or greater for customers using our hardware with Windows XP? We make data acquisition hardware that connects to the PC via USB and uses WinUsb.sys as its driver. We need a sleep compatible version of WinUsb.sys so our device can continue acquisition while the PC sleeps. Currently, I supply our customers with an inf file and the redistributable files WdfCoInstaller01009.dll, WUDFUpdate-01009.dll, and winusbcoinstaller2.dll from the win7_rtm WDK 7600.16835.1. But this version of WinUsb.sys gives a timeout error when the PC sleeps. For Windows 7, running Windows update or applying the hotfix from knowledge base article KB97559 results in a sleep compatible WinUsb.sys. But we also need this update for XP and I haven't been able to find it. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for your help, Wendy Tucker / Symmetric Research

RE: WinUsb with sleep fix for XP?

No such update exists. The win7 update works (btw your kb article number is wrong) because winusb ships in box, there is no update for the downlevel version installed by the coinstaller -----Original Message----- From: xxxxx@lists.osr.com [mailto:xxxxx@lists.osr.com] On Behalf Of xxxxx@symres.com Sent: Tuesday, June 19, 2012 11:07 AM To: Windows System Software Devs Interest List Subject: [ntdev] WinUsb with sleep fix for XP? RE: WinUsb with sleep fix for XP?

Hi Doron, Sorry for the typo, I meant KB975599. Can you submit a request for the creation of a winusb or coinstaller update that will work for XP? Thanks, Wendy
