Format of "device" element for BCD data in the registry for Vista+

Hi everyone, I would like to ask if someone has access to description of "device" element in BCD registry data example: HKLM\BCD00000000\Objects\{CONFIGURATION_GUID}\Elements\11000001 The format of the binary data stored in "Element" registry value describes device, and has variable length. I need that for BellaVista tool. The current version retrieves the data by launching BCD Editor and parsing the text output. This method is extremely ugly and I would like to get it directly from the registry. I'll get the description of the data from reversing BCD Editor, but I don't have much time for it these days, so trying to find better way. L.

I image that you already know about this document, but just to be sure - http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/f/7/af7777e5-7dcd-4800-8a0a-b18336565f5b /BCD.docx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb986746%28VS.85%29.aspx That being said, I think that answer is' it depends,' and I think that it's also possible to create 'custom' ones. mm 2010/9/21 Ladislav Zezula <xxxxx@volny.cz> > Hi everyone, > > I would like to ask if someone has access to description of "device" > element in BCD registry data > > example: > HKLM\BCD00000000\Objects\{CONFIGURATION_GUID}\Elements\11000001 > > The format of the binary data stored in "Element" registry > value describes device, and has variable length. <...excess quoted lines suppressed...> --
